Sharp spleen pain, kidney pain & stomach aches?I've been on the high protein diet for just under a month & a week ago my kidneys started hurting. Then tonight a very sharp stabbing pain showed up about where my spleen is. Also last week I had the feeling of my stomach being tied in a knot & 3 days of unbearable diarreah, though I get those spells typically at least once a year. I have a spleenalrenal shunt as well as polycystic kidney disease. The stomach aches have been happening since I was a child but I've had countless endoscopy and colonoscopyssaying verything is normal. Any idea what is causing this, are they related, and does my diet effect this at all? Also I have never had mono & am not otherwise sick so I know it's not mono. Thanks so much for your help everyone

i think your high protein diet may also be high fat and your pancreas or gallbladder is not coping well:have you had it checked for any stones?
also:talk to your Dr,as high protein diet is not good for kidney disease/disorders.
i had my gallbladder removed several years ago:i cant eat high protein/or high fat food and forget high fiber also.When i give in to temptation, i get horrible diarrhea and pains on the left and right abdomen and my upper back(like rib pain)
to check liver function is a blood test, to check pancreas function also a blood test.
