Yes. Eating always affects your blood glucose level.All I know is that you are supposed to fast for at least 12 hours before having them draw blood. I do beleive that it could affect the blood glucose level.of course it does. your stomach will turn much of what you eat into simple sugars that your body can use for energy. glucose is one of those sugars. that's why whenever you have any hospital work/surgery done on you, they usually tell you to not eat anything prior. Every time my Grandma has to have bloodwork done to check her kidney function, she has to fast for at least 12 hours prior.

Not only blood glucose tests, but your actual kidney tests (usually bun and creatinine) will also be affected.
Most likely will have potassium, calcium, and other "biological tests.
In other words "food related" tests.
