Is it all bad?My doctor called me today and told me my Aldosterone levels were 32. The normal is 3-16. I was looking at what all could cause this and everything seemed bad. Is there anything that is minor? What are ALL the causes? This all I have found:
High values
High aldosterone levels can be caused by:
* A tumor in the adrenal glands (Conn's syndrome).
* Kidney disease.
* Liver disease.
* Heart failure.
* A condition during pregnancy that causes high blood pressure (preeclampsia).
Symptoms of a high aldosterone include high blood pressure, muscle cramps and weakness, numbness or tingling in the hands, and low levels of potassium in the blood.

A small adrenal tumor can cause this. They can be discovered with CT scan. These can identify the tumor which can then be removed by focused laparoscopic adrenalectomy
