Does this sound like a kidney problem?The past 3 weeks I have had a horrible dull pain in the lower left side of my back, I thought I pulled a muscle because it started happening a day after I lifted a bunch of heavy bags of wood pellets. I saw a doctor and was prescribed a muscle relaxer but it did nothing. The past week my back has been itching like crazy and the pain has gotten worse. I feel dizzy and tired all the time and feel like I have a hard time catching my breath. I also have this weird metallic taste in my throat, I was trying to cough it up all day yesterday because I just thought it was phlegm but it's still there. I am nervous that something could be wrong with my kidney because kidney disease runs in my family. I have a doctor appointment today but I would like to gather more information before I go.

Kidney problems caused by diabetes. AVOID sugar and high amounts of carbohydrates (bread, crackers, rice and noodles). eat small balanced meals.
