You have a multitude of symptoms there that can mean different systems.
1) "hard time passing stools" - usually means constipation
2) Stools are "rather dark in colour" - that depends on what you mean by "dark". Stool color can be effected by what you eat. If the stool is a black color it means there is bleeding in the upper GI system. Sometimes only a test can detect blood in a stool. If you see any red blood get to a doctor or ER.
3) "Nausea, dizziness and light-headedness" - could be all caused by the low blood pressure especially when you first get up from a sitting position.
4) Abdominal pain - could also fit with either constipation or trouble in the GI system.

So is it possible that you are constipated? Many meds will have this side effect. If it is, increase dietary fiber and you can add a stool softener daily if needed.
Kidney damage is one risk of high blood pressure, but what you have said about your stools is usually from GI problems.
