Renal Disease Stage III - what vegetables and fruits to avoid?

Renal Disease Stage III - what vegetables and fruits to avoid? My Dad has multiple health problems including diabetes, but was recently diagnosed with Renal Disease Stage III. He's already been doing much of what they list at the site below (lost more than 50 pounds) and is trying to increase his exercise. I make a lot of his food, especially premade meals for him to pop out of the freezer into the microwave such as homemade burritos. The link indicates that he may have to avoid fruits and vegetables high in phosphorus or potassium. Which ones are these besides bananas (which he rarely eats anyway)?

The same web site also lists the high potassium and high phosphorus foods. Go to:

Back when I was on dialysis, I remember that I was supposed to limit potatos, tomatos, and oranges, but I can't remember the rest, so they should be on the website.

Cooked Fruits & Vegetables are better than raw. Canned Fruit such as pears and mandarin oranges are allowed. Look for the ones packed in juice not syrup.
He can have potatoes occasionally if you peel them, slice thinly, and soak them overnight. Rinse them the next day and boil and drain them. Do not use the potato water for anything, it will have all the excess potassium in it.
Never give him a baked potato. It is extremely high in potassium.
Learn to read labels when shopping, and also remember to watch out for sodium.

There are many websites that you can find out more about what's best for your Dad.
