May arenal disease be associated with mental retardation?I woder if a disease of a renal origin- not genetic syndrom like WAGR sundrom , can cause mental retardation and growth defects? That the mental disorder is caused by the kidney disease??!

Not knowing exactly what you are referring to, it is true that as renal insufficiency progresses, the toxins can build up in the blood. These toxins can cause neurological symptoms, eg, irritability, inability to speak correctly, confusion, emotional outbursts, etc.
