Kidney Transplantation?Is anyone here been kidney transplanted or anyone from your relatives had undergone such operation?
How much does it cost the whole operation including work-ups and laboratory test. Not necessarily actual cost but a rough amount of the treatment. And how long will it usually take before the transplantation can be done?

Most kidney tranplant recipients have to register so they can be in line if there's a donor. First come, first served. be prepared to get sticker shock, as it's expensive.
The cost varies from one hopital to the next one. Also depends whether you have medical isnruance or not. Try St Luke's Hospital - located in Q.C. If I'm not mistaken, they have a website. or you can just google them.
Try Asian Hospital too, in Alabang. I heard they're the only hospital who will accept Blue Cross.

It takes 5 hrs. before the operation will be done, why? It is because there are many veins connected to kidney to other vital organs, so doctors very carefully removing the kidney. And it cost maybe P 100,000.00

too expensive,my brother cost him around 2 million pesos,plus 200,000 pesos to the kidney donor.

mom had good insurance so don't know cost but it took about 6 months after i was picked to do all the test before we had the operation.. it only took about 5 hours ..and i went back to work in 2weeks
