My wife has just been diagnosed with right side heart failure.

The most common therapy for right-sided heart failure is treating left-sided heart failure.

They're going to give her a diuretic, usually Lasix (to decrease swelling and decrease BP), and an ACE inhibitor such as Vasotec (which decreases the workload on the heart by dilating her vessels and lowering blood pressure). And usually a beta blocker (lopressor), which reduces blood pressure and pulse rate, and improves heart function.

Maybe Digoxin, which increases the contraction of the heart.

Ideally, her B-Naturetic Peptide levels should decrease to under 100, so diuresing her and decreasing workload on the heart is key.

As long as she's being treated for her heart failure and being monitored by a doctor, there's not much else you can do.
