risk for anesthetic complications in an elderly patient being put under for about a 20min. surgery?

risk for anesthetic complications in an elderly patient being put under for about a 20min. surgery? My grandmother is 78 and is going in for a blockage in her lung catheter tube, she has one on each side because of excess fluid in her lung wall, she just had a triple bypass in December and has kidney and lung disease also diabetes and a few minor conditions. Please tell me the risks of being put under for this minor surgery

Ive been in surgery it could be a little trouble if your grandmother freaks out risk might be at hand, before the surgery the doctor will give her or someone in the family a slip or something and they will read the risks and stuff.

As with any surgery there are risks. The risks increase with anesthesia. Make sure that ALL meds she is taking (I would also include meds in the past 2 weeks) including over the counter are known. Also make sure that total health history is giving since many older people see more than one doctor. Make sure to let them know about any drug problems in the past no matter how minor. The more info the anesthesiologist has the better for grandma. The anesthesiologist will take her meds, health, and age all into consideration to do what they feel is best for grandma.
