Is it true that people who have either kidney disease, kidney failure, and/or one kidney can't have kids?

NO. I have had a kidney transplant, and therefore only have one working kidney. I can't wait to have kids someday--I'm 28. All my doctors have reassured me that it should be okay for me to have kids. Although everyone's situation is different...the docs will let you know if you can based on the meds you're on and your blood pressure. I was told to consult with my doctors before trying so that they can switch my medications to more "pregnancy friendly" kinds. You should also know that those who only have one kidney can have more difficult pregnancies--such as preterm labor and higher than normal blood pressure. Check with your doctor to be sure, however, it IS possible!

Nope...that's not true at all. Certain complications may cause someone to not get pregnant but about 17 years ago my cousin Angela was told that because of her kidney problems she would never have kids. Well...her third child is now 5 years old. Hope this helped! :)
