Risks of a health identical twin donating a kidney to their very weak unhealthy sibling w/renal failure?

Risks of a health identical twin donating a kidney to their very weak unhealthy sibling w/renal failure?I'm sure the healthy donor would be ok, but what about the unhealthy recipient?

-The possible recipient lives off of a feeding tube and is pretty frail.
- Recipient also has Parkinson's disease & movement is very restrictive to some use of a walker.
- Recipient also had been hospitalized multiple times for urinary track infection, blood infection, and did start showing some signs of kidney damage from infection.

All this involved a couple family members some time back, and the twins are elderly, in their 60's.

Would a transplant be a feasible option? Dialysis?

I'm guessing no... since the ill person did pass away pretty quickly, I'm just wondering about the "what ifs" and would these treatments have done a lot of good?

Did the sick one actually have renal failure? You only mention "showing signs of kidney damage". The recipient needs to be healthy enough to survive the surgery and cannot have a transplant if any infection, especially blood infection, is present.

Usually if someone is in renal failure, the doctors will put them on dialysis before doing a kidney transplant. It is possible that medical problems other than kidney failure were present and responsible for the death. In that case, a kidney transplant would not have helped.
