Best choice would be to go vegan type of vegetarian. No meat, no dairy, no eggs. Vegetarian Times magazine is a very good source of information and recipes for new vegetarians. When in doubt, try beans and grains and nuts and seeds...and "fake meats" in the frozen food section.
"Milks" can be made from most any of these beans, grains, nuts and seeds too by cooking what needs cooked, grinding the cooked beans and grains or soaked nuts and seeds, and then straining them through a fine strainer and refrigerating. Lentils are fast and easy beans to cook...they make a blackish green "milk", but have a sort of sweet flavor from pectin in them if you can get over the color of the "milk". Actually you don't have to strain the "milks" if you want it thicker like a milkshake with more fiber. Rice or almonds are popular "milks". Soy milk, almond milk and rice milk can be found at most grocery stores. Some places also have hemp milk (which is not marijuana).
Most people eat 3 times more protein every day than they really need. That all is processed into urea/ammonia by-products by the kidneys.
If you don't have access to Vegetarian Times magazine, then go to the library or a bookstore and get some books ....information on vegetarianism and cookbooks.
Soy bean products, buckwheat (grain) and quinoa (grain) are considered to be very close in protein makeup to the complete protein in meat.
Try to work on that creatinine to keep it down as best you can. The doctor can tell you what number to shoot for.

The question you asked is very complicated and you can't really expect reliable information from anyone but professionals.
Normally Nephrology departments have a Nutritionist Nurse to recommend special kidney-friendly diets.
One of the major changes that the Nutritionist would mention is the avoidance of foods that contain potassium. This would include foods such as legumes (beans, soya), tomatoes, chocolate, colas, nuts, and grains.
It is important that you find yourself a resource person to help you manage your kidney problem. Don't rely on sketchy information, get the facts from professionals.
