Could A Protein Shake Cause Cloudy Urine?My husband is recovering from kidney failure due to obstructed prostate issues. Yes, he does have protein in his urine and kidney disease at this time.
He made himself a protein shake thinking it would benefit him and now his urine is cloudy.
He noticed this after he first went to pee after drinking the shake at 10:30 am this morning.
His urine is still cloudy as of 9:30pm.
Should we worry? Or does this go away after some time if he lays off the freaking protein shakes?!
How long should we wait to see clear urine again?

If he has kidney failure metablosing protein is a process which will be compromised. Yes I would say this is a definate possibility.
A lower proteing diet, low in processed foods and sugar would likely be the best diet for him.
Avoid proteing shakes like Syphilis!
As for how long it would take for urine to go back to normal? I don't know but if it is still like that 72 hours later after he has abstained from high protein intake you should take him to his doctor.
