Anyone had surgery on cat with nose cancer?

Anyone had surgery on cat with nose cancer? My cat is age 15 & has squamous cell cancer on nose. Have seen several vets specifically for this, but none seemed to take it seriously or offered treatment options. It's large now. Has anyone had their cat's nose removed due to cancer? Can it be done? His whole nose is bloody scabby looking. He has other health issues - thyroid & kidney disease. He is totally inside cat. Vet visits tire him out for days afterward, but when at home on his normal routine, he seems pretty good - can climb onto tables & countertops with ease, eats very well - he used to be chubby, now is thin. Anyone who has experienced nose cancer & surgery for it, I would like to know how cat handled did afterward, how long cat survived afterward, if cat seemed comfortable, normal, etc. I love this guy & want to help him, but also don't want to lose him if surgery is very risky or put him through a lot only to live a short or miserable life. If they can do surgery, do they graft skin, or how is it covered?

Squamous Cell Carcinoma is very aggressive. I doubt that the vets are not taking it seriously, in fact, they have probably told you there is nothing that can be done.
The fact that this cat has lost that much weight, means it has probably metastasized (spread) to other parts of his body.
I have never heard of removing a cat's nose for cancer treatment. If a surgery is attempted, they would have to remove the tumor and all surrounding tissue, which could mean half of the head. It is very possible that at this stage it has infiltrated the bone in the face.
I understand that you don't want to lose him. I suggest that you spend what time you have left in loving him and making your final days together memorable ones for you.
He will let you know when it is time. Once he stops eating and getting around with the same ease he had, you will know.
I am truly sorry for you.
