Why is blood pressure so high when relaxed?

Why is blood pressure so high when relaxed?I have polycystic kidney disease. My mom takes my blood pressure and it's always high, yet I feel relaxed. I just want to get some answers about why this constantly occurs.

that's why they call high BP the silent killer. You'll never know it's high just sitting there. You can't physically feel it when it's "high." I went to the docs a few months ago for a physical and it was 167/109. Yeah I had no idea, and the doctor almost had a heart attack when he read the pressure. I hope they can get you're BP down. Wish you well.
