What would cause moderate kidney damage in a 27 year old female who is active and not overweight? No other problems aside from allergies. Good BMI at 21%, no high blood pressure and not diabetic. Last time I checked I was only getting a 60% function level. Doctor just keeps telling me I am to young and making me go back every 6 months for bloodwork which is not cheap!!! Any ideas, thoughts, similar situations??

Have you been tested for hepititis?
Some medications can cause problems, when I was on an antidepressant they made me get my kidneys checked.
Lupus could also be an issue but there are so many reasons.
You need to keep going, she is trying to develop a pattern to see if things change or get worse. Also, if you don't follow your dr's orders your insurance company could refuse treatment if it turns out to be something bad.
Check in with another dr for a second opinion!
