Joe Joe Dancer: yep, facts are so annoying aren't they? You cannot ignore, twist, or sugarcoat facts.
curious1: I believe that mass sterilization for whoever wants it would be a good idea. Also, as to what I would do, I wish I could adopt them all. Yes, there is a God, and there are christian organizations that God uses to reach those who are in trouble. I've contributed to such organizations, as that is the best I can do for the world's children. My entire point is, in the USA where we have so much access to birth control, medicaid giving free medical care, and knowledge, we still allow this to happen. In many cases, the mother just doesn't want to be inconvenienced. Yes, it's your body and it IS your choice to have sex or not, but if you choose to have sex, then you choose the consequences, and that baby is NOT part of your body, it's a new body that needs your body for nourishment and safety. Yes, rape is a different case, but if I was raped, I would not, could not take the life of my child (that is half me by the way) and make that child pay for the father's sins.
Akkita: I AM an American, and I am aware that other countries do this and it's just as sad that they do it too. As for being "self righteous"-what is self righteous for pointing out something I strongly disagree with?

that is a lot of children..while i dont believe in it as form of birth control i do believe in it in certains cases.. rape.. the child will be severly deformed..and while yes aborting a child in rape when the child will be born healthy may not be so good of a thing. but the mother really had no say in it.. why should he have to carry that reminder for 9 months..and yes she could give it up. and so can the one who has a deform child.. but who would adopt a child like that
