My parents cannot afford it, but it is really important to do?Heres my problem. I got nominated for National young leaders conference. That is a huge deal and an awesome honor. I also just got nominated for people to people. My parents have plenty of money but my 3 year old yorkie has Lyme disease and loss of kidney function. Her bills are extremely expensive. I don't want to be a bother to my parents but i really wont to go on these trips. I think they will be very good for college. What should I do?????

Maybe you can ask other family members for donations or see if the school will help set up some fundraiser for yourself and future students who get the honor for these trips. You might also want to check with local businesses.

You can check into scholarship type things. Ask the guidance counselor at school, or one of those type people. They know how to get those things going.
Also, just ask. You never know. My mom missed out on a trip to Paris because she thought they couldn't afford it, when it turned out that her parents would have sent her if she wouldn't have told them. The worst they can do is say they can't. Besides, if you go, and it leads to you getting a good job and scholarships and such, it'll pay off in the end.
