Minimal Change Kidney Disease and pregnancy?? Plez help?I found out about a year and a half ago that I have Minimal change kidney disease and that my last 24 hour urine said that my protein level is a 9,000 up from 3,000 a year ago. I was told 3 days ago that they will not allow me to go see the fertility specialist because they don't think that I could carry a baby past 20-26 weeks. I am crushed...broken hearted and ready to just give up. We have been trying/waiting to have a baby for over 5 years. I also have pcos and know that I will not get preg without the help of a fertility specialist so I have to basically get permission. I was wondering if there are any ladies out there from women with my condition who have carried a healthy baby?? A family is all we want and I don't really know what I should do at this point. Any personal stories would be very helpful. Thank you

I don't know what your daily routine is. I do know it's very difficult, but you HAVE TO follow all the protocols concerning the amounts of protein, potassium,salt, etc that you are eating. You have to exercise and get in the best shape that you can,keeping your weight at the recommended level. If your not cooking your meals yourself, your going to have to start being proactive in what goes into your body. You are the vessel.
Give yourself(right now) the same love, care and "attention to details" that you are planning on showering on that wonderful miracle which will someday come your way.
