Does High Blood Pressure cause people to sweat? My little brother has Kidney Disease and Heart Disease and
High Blood Pressure and he always sweats a lot while he's
sleeping! And only when he's sleeping. He's 37 inches and
weighs 32 pounds. [He's 2 1/2 years old]
So my mom, dad and I were just wondering if its just because
he's a baby or High Blood Pressure?
Thanks to anyone who answers :]

I don't think it would be caused by the high blood pressure.
I've had hbp 150/100 for years before getting it down and never suffered night sweats(hyperhydrosis)
God Bless you and your family!

Im sorry your family is going through this. He seems like a sick little guy. Is he on medication for the high blood pressure? Some heart problems may cause you to sweat abnormally, especially with the kidney disease. If he doesnt have a fever, then maybe you should suggest to your mom or dad to mention these night sweats to the doctor, and you may want to look to see if his face is pale or normal color. If hes pale and sweaty its more likely the heart disease, if hes just sweaty then it would be the hypertension and the doctor may need to adjust his medication so his blood pressure is normal at time of sleep. I sure this little guy feels better!!
