Does bad kidney function affect the rest of your body?

Does bad kidney function affect the rest of your body?I've recently had kidney problems stemming from what I believe to be a mild case of alcohol poisoning. I'm also currently sick and have been for quite some time, probably around 2 weeks (the start of which began around the same time I got alcohol poisoning), I'm wondering if, due to the poor condition my kidneys are currently in, this could be the reason my body is unable to get over the sickness. When I say sickness I mean mainly coughing, headaches, general disorientation, and a general feeling of inability in doing anything physically challenging.

yes, your kidneys have great influence on your body, although it is always your liver that gets infected by alcohol, not your kidneys, since your liver breaks down the alcohol, therefore it never reaches your kidneys. Your liver also greatly affects your body.

If you're in doubt, see a doctor.

The liver is the organ that handles alcohol poisoning. If it's been 2 weeks since then, the kidney issue is separate from the poisoning. Your symptoms are worrisome. Go to the ER and get checked out. You shouldn't be feeling the way you are after a binge 2 weeks ago.
