Does anyone know of a natural herb that acts as a phosphate binder? Alternative to the prescription Epkitin.?My cats have the beginning stages of chronic renal failure. They are both on the prescription drug Epikitin.
The Epkitin is a phosphate binder to help eliminate the excess phosphorous from their bodies. I mix it in with their food. This will help them to live longer and healthier. Does anyone know of a natural phosphate binder, herbal or flower essence? I will be very grateful to find a natural cure for my babies. I don't take prescription drugs myself and I really don't like the fact of giving them to my cats. Ironically, it was prescription medications that gave them the disease in the first place.

Put your question in the pet section. Second, read the apple cider vinegar website. Put it in their water, they'll get used to the taste eventually. I have 4 of the little darlings. So I understand your pain.
