Can someone live their whole lives with some amount of kidney damage?Or, is that if you have ANY amount of kidney damage, you are going to need a kidney transplant at some point in your life.
Apparently, "All Mighty One", I know nothing, therefore the question has been asked out here on Yahoo. Enjoy your thumbs-down for a dumb-a$ $ answer.
Thank you. I though that was the case, but wanted to ask for validation purposes. A friend of mine is exaggerating a condition...

No transplants are only done in lifethreatening cases. If it's mild damage, then no.

You didn't say if the damage was on one or both kidneys. A person can live a long and healthy life with only one kidney.
