Nobody online has any idea why your veterinarian does the things that they do. Antibiotics are prescribed for infections, and an elevated WBC count is not the only indication of infection.

Who knows. You need to ask your vet this question. This is part of the consultation - asking questions and understanding the diagnosis and prognosis.

If you have asked your vet and they didnt give you a satisfactory answer, try calling and asking them again. If you cannot work with this vet - get a second opinion

Ask your vet ................. you pay the bills, you are entitled for 'full disclosure'.

Call the vet and ask because you really need to know. There may be some thing going on that is important.

Probably because bacteria showed up in a urinalysis. Call your Vet and ask if you have any questions.
