I have high blood preasure . its because the body tries to get rid of liquid to reduce the blood preasure all this exrea work makes the kidneys work overtime and exhausts them

The short answer to your question is, yes. Eventually the damage caused by high blood pressure to the renal arteries will weaken the kidney with time. However, some drugs can wreak havok on the kidneys as well. Lasix is one and so are some antibiotics such as Vancomycin.
