Kidney Disease: My puppy died at 1 from a Kidney Disease is this my fault?

My puppy died at 1 from a Kidney Disease is this my fault? All his test came back his liver was ok but his kidneys no good & he also was anemic and there for he expired at such a young age. I am now going through this guilt I did not notice soon enough, I just thought he had bad breath and I brushed his teeth and cleaned him alot, until 1 weekend he went from wanting to check the mail with me to staying in and seemed sickly and I washed him in flea shampoo and started using flea drip on him so I thought maybe he was sick cuz of this well then he looked more than it was just a cold he lost weight and his appetite was leaving him and this was wrong cuz he was a piggy, I never thought nothing too bad cuz his age( how could this happen?) I took him to 3 drs. to be sure, the 1st being nuts and not taking any test was not good enough so onto the next dr. taking test and the first dr. to tell me its his kidneys maybe more but this is fatal, onto the next dr. his test was the same (kidney disease) Is this natural or Did I kill my pup with flea toxins?

Sweety please don't blame yourself as it was nothing you really could do as when the kidneys start going it shuts down the other organs. My dog died of congestive heart failure and like you i thought it was my fault and till another vet explained that heart and kidneys are vital organs but when they start going then you need to go then ' as if you get their early then there are medicines that can help them live with their disease. If an animal suddenly loses their appetite then it's time to get to a vet asap as when they don't eat or drink it can help shut down these organs too.lots of luck and do not blame yourself as you did not understand it was this deadly a sickness.

It is not your fault at all. We live in a very strange world now and not all people are doing the right thing for humanity. As of late there are alot of health issues with dogs. And it stems from the way they where bred or there parents where raised. Just look a few years ago people where smuggling drugs in puppies?? I have a friend who has the same issue with his 1 year old Shepard who now has 6months to live. I also had a major medical emergency with my one lab when she was about a year. We where told she had a 50% chance of dying on the operating table. She did pull throw but has a limited diet and is not allowed any toys other then marrow bones. Sometimes things just go sour? Hang on to those memories, and keep your head held up high!!!
