How can you tell if you have kidney failure or chronic kidney disease?And some one was saying if you have kidney failure or chronic kidney disease there are foods you cannot eat is that true.

How can you tell if you have chronic kidney disease .And why is it some foods make it worse.

1] your medical provider will do blood work on you - the are are several tests to determine kidney failure
2] these are usually followed by MANY other kinds of tests to determine extent of damage
3] diets are restricted, because some foods [ ex: fruits ] will cause a very high [ toxic ] level of potassium, for example, in kidney failure. A defective kidney cannot metabolize potassium properly
4] there are several other foods restricted and items kidney won't be able to process
