Heart failure?

Heart failure? If someone had a heart attack, and their Troponin levels kept getting higher, does that mean its getting worse?

Also, if the heart attack occurred and there was minor damage to the heart, does that mean heart failure doesnt always happen?

or does heart failure happen all of the time after a heart attack?

You can have small heart attacks which are not fatal however they cause scarring on the tissue of heart.

Its when they have a massive heart attack that people die due
HEART FAILURE.

Troponin is a marker of cardiac cell damage, thus increasing levels would indicate increasing levels of cell death in cardiac tissue.

Heart attacks and heart failure are two different things. Heart failure does not always happen after a heart attack, however sometimes heart attacks occur, in patient who were already in a stage of heart failure.

Congestive heart failure is a specific condition, and is not neccessarily something that would be linked with every heart attack patient.

Heart failure is a process, while a heart attack is an event. While they can happen toghether it is possible to have a heart attack, receive treatment, recover, and not go into heart failure.

This usually involves significant and permanent life style changes in addition to medical treatment however.
