yes, but it depends on what you want to know, personally i would look it up on wikipedia, but i do know one thing off the top of my head from medical school, we learned it like last month... um, i know that people have to get on dialysis which is basically having to manually filter out stuff into the urine that the kidneys can't do anymore :/
sorry i cant help much, but im sure the wiki master has some thoughts :)

Absolutely, 'someone' does know all about renal failure.

That 'someone' is a nephrologist.

Renal failure is not something you can self-diagnose. You can research it all you want (and there are surely better online resources than Y!A) but PLEASE do not ask for or accept medical advice from strangers on the internet.

Renal failure is a very serious illness. Life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated (treatment is usually dialysis). If you even SUSPECT renal disease, make an appointment with your doctor or go to the emergency room.

I had chronic renal failure due to Type 1 diabetes. Diabetes and high blood pressure are the two leading causes of chronic kidney failure.

I do not specifically know what kind of information you need. I recommend the website of the National Kidney Foundation, at www.kidney.org. It should cover just about everything you may be looking for.
