diabetes and kidney failure?

diabetes and kidney failure?unconcious, diabetes, kidney failure, and the docs have pull the drip off of him because he is swelling up.
The docs say there is nothing they can do. I just don't know if i should go to work today or go stay with my mom so i can be there for her when she gets the phone call. Can this go on for weeks if the doctors have pulled all life aids? Please help!

If you can afford to take the time off to be with your mom then by all means do so. She will be needing your support right now. My father was a diabetic and he passed away just 12 days of 4 years ago. They lived in FL & I live in NY I arrived at there house 15 minutes to late. Wished I had flown down a day earlier. My father was off of dialysis for 5 days before he passed. HIs body was just in shut down. He had been sick for almost a year. He had his leg amputated just 11 months before he died and never really was able to get back upt to snuff. Although he tired real hard. Seeing how this person you are talking about is already in the unconcious state then I truly don't think it is going to be much longer and your Mother will be getting the phone call. So if you can, go be with your mom right now she will be needing you. Sorry to hear about your family suffering like they are right now. My thoughts are with you.

It could be one day and it could be several. Only the Lord knows for sure how long that can be.

If I were you and able to do it I would stay with Mom as much as possible

i am so sorry to hear what your mother is going through. has your doctor said anything about dialysis? i had total kidney failure 7 years ago i went on dialysis. if they cannot proforma dialysis on her i would stay with her and hold her hand and just let her know you are their. she may not respond to you but she will know you are there. i will pray for her and your family. god bless you and her.
