Eggs are high protein. Protein is difficult for the kidneys to handle. I am a nurse, not a vet, but in people with kidney disease, we try and limit protein. Hope this helps.

has your vet advised a specific diet for this dog? the protein might be too much. the white might have less, but how about finding another snack?

Most veterinarians may suggest to lower protein at any sign of renal problems, but it has been discovered that this can do more harm than good:
